Conquest! is an interactive game in which the goal is to become the King of the Land. The game is centered around the year 1029. Conquest! is great for its complexity yet simplicity in gameplay. The lore surrounding it makes the experience much more interesting and creates vivid gameplay. While there may not be much to see visually, the game's concept is nearly flawless. You can build an army, explore different lands, and rule them all. This is one of those games which is easy to play but difficult to master. If you are looking for an interesting strategy / RPG game that is centered in the Middle Ages, this is the game for you.
While I played, my only concern was that sometimes the game would not show up, and the music would play in the background. Also, there are often not enough
people online to interact with. Besides that, and the barely noticable bugs, it is a delightful game and can be taken to the next level in marketing if cards are
played right. For example, a way for people to pay real money for certain temporary advantages in the game would really make the game flourish and become more popular.

Conquest! Is a game that brings you into an ancient world where you need to do whatever it takes in order to evolve and take things to the next level. Right from the start, I was impressed with the sheer tactical depth that the game offers, and the interesting gameplay you can find here.
This is a game that spans over a multitude of ages, and each age usually takes place within 1-2 months, depending on the situation. During a single age, you will have to control at least 20% of the land in order to become a winner. Ages pass only when a player obtains this set of results, which does push gamers onward to try and get the best possible outcome.
As you will see, most of the interface is based only on text, so Conquest isn’t really focused on bringing you those flashy graphics you have in other titles, instead it focuses mostly on the tactical depth that is a lot more interesting and appealing in such a situation.
I particularly liked the fact that you can easily customize each aspect of your kingdom, and you can make sure that you keep an eye on your finance level as well. Also, the title focuses a lot on creating alliances with others as you become more powerful, but if you want to play on your own you can easily do that. At the same time, there are many classes and troop types to choose from, something that brings in a lot of tactics and strategic capabilities for you to enjoy.
Of course, there are many other things to check out in this game, such as the statistics that show your fiercest opponents, and I was delighted to see that you can actually set formations. You can also manage your cavalry, see if they are fatigued or not as well as other cool stuff that manage to set a completely new tone and perspective for the gameplay.
Even though the combat phase takes place in a textual form, I did feel the intensity and I always was nervous when it comes to the results that would actually appear in the end.
In addition to that, I also liked the fact that you can manage your gold, food and even use magic items. You can go ahead and explore the land as you solve quests and try to expand your gameplay opportunities, but you can even manage your peasants the best way you can. There’s a limited number when it comes to the amount of movement points in the game, and the way you use them, something that I thoroughly enjoyed, as the game does bring you all the possibilities, and you are the one in charge which will use them the right way.
Overall, I feel that Conquest is a great game with a lot of depth and which allows you to engage people online who have a similar taste in strategy games. This is a title in which you do need to invest a lot of time, but it’s nice to play and quite hard to master, which I found great in a strategy game, because this is what brings the lasting appeal.
I feel that Conquest is a wonderful example of how much gameplay and promising features can be found in text form. Of course, I would like to see a few visuals instead of text and numbers, but even as it stands Conquest is a masterpiece in its genre, and I recommend everyone to try it!
